Interested students in doing graduate studies in computational biology/bioinformatics in our computational genomics lab should apply to one of the two graduate programs (Computers Science Graduate Group or Integrated Genomics and Genetics) in UC-Davis. You can learn more about out research in our lab at Research Page.

A Ph.D. applicant is required to have a strong computational and computer science skills (i.e., data structures, algorithms, statistics and machine learning) and should have experience with programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java or Python).  Experience with biological data is considered a plus but not required.

Interested students can contact me at fhormozd [at] ucdavis.edu to discuss your application and prospects of joining computer science graduate program or IGG at UC-Davis
